Mentions

Mentions let you reference contacts directly inside chat messages. They create clickable tokens that link back to the mentioned contact and display summary information on hover.

Triggering the Mention Popup

Type the @ character in the chat input to open the mention popup. A dropdown appears anchored to your cursor position, showing a searchable list of contacts. The popup uses the same contact selector content as the sidebar phone selector, so you get the same search and filtering behavior.

Searching for Contacts

After typing @, continue typing to filter the contact list by name or phone number. The popup narrows results in real time as you type. Matching contacts show their display name and phone number for identification.
